The 49er's QB, Jimmy G, is officially listed as the starting QB on the team's first depth chart over their 2021 1st round pick, Trey Lance.
There have been a lot of questions surrounding whether Lance would take over for Jimmy right away due to Jimmy's recent injury history and averageness at the QB position.
But don't do Jimmy G like that just yet, give the man credit when credit is due.
This man wins games and that's what the 49er's like about him.
Jimmy G has a starting win percentage of 75% with an overall starting record of 36-12!
That is 1.4 % shy of Tom Brady's (230-71) overall win/loss record (granted Brady also has 253 starts under his belt compared to Jimmy, but still not bad for TB12's former backup) and .11% better than the 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson's overall win/loss record (34-12)
And don't forget back in 2019, Jimmy lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl!
This year, Jimmy has the guys around him to do it again too.
Don't tell me Trey Lance is the guy for the 49ers this year, the man hasn't even played a professional game yet.
But trust the process because sooner rather than later, the 49ers will move on from Jimmy to Trey Lance.
