Cowboys' QB Dak Prescott to Undergo Another MRI on Injured Shoulder

Dak Prescott told reporters Wednesday that he will undergo a second MRI for a right shoulder injury he suffered during training camp on July 28. The first MRI showed it was just a shoulder strain.

The second MRI is scheduled to happen when the team returns to Dallas from their training camp headquarters in Oxnard, CA.

Prescott is hopeful to play in the Cowboys' third preseason game vs. Houston and is still expected to play in the season opener against Tampa Bay.

The Cowboys are trying to downplay it and prevent panic, but there are concerns about the 28-year-old QB who had season-ending ankle surgery last year.

If healthy, Prescott will still be a top 5-7 quarterback in fantasy football this season. As of right now, I will take Dak and the Cowboys' word that they are not worried. It is likely just injury maintenance.

It does raise some eyebrows as to why he is getting a second MRI days later. Possibly a slight re-aggravation?

Dak Prescott's predicted stats for 2021: 4200 yards, 27 TDs, 13 INTs.
