Fantasy Football Draft kits and guides have been published recently which means Fantasy Football season has officially begun!
These draft kits are excellent for knowing not only where analysts rank players (by position and as a whole) but also who's still in the league, what teams players are on, and when teams bye weeks are.
However, what they don't tell you are who are good value draft picks and who are bad value draft picks.
This article is going to focus on two players who are undervalued on the ESPN Top 300 Non-PPR rankings for their position, but great value picks for you to take. Which makes them Real Steals for your fantasy draft.
First off is the Seahawks WR, Tyler Lockett. Lockett proved himself as a solid receiver in 2018 with 965 reYDs and 10 reTDs which was a personal best for Lockett in both categories. Right now, Lockett is being ranked as the 26th Fantasy football WR to draft this year. To me, I think this is low for him and I think this year Lockett will collect on more targets from the absence of Baldwin which if he does so while staying healthy and at the same high level as he was, then he will certainly be a steal in FF drafts. Although the game plan for the team is run-first, this ultimately helps Lockett because it will definitely give a lot of opportunities for Lockette to take flight in Play action situations especially since defenses already also need to focus on containing the speedy rookie, D.K Metcalf as well as second year wideout David Moore.
2019 Prediction: REC: 70; reYDs: 1,150; reTDs: 11
Another steal in this years draft is Browns RB, Nick Chubb. Currently ranked as RB #13, Chubb certainly has room in his stats to grow this season. This is because in his first six games he was only given the ball a total of 16 rushing attempts whereas in his last ten games he was given 176 attempts and he still ended up totaling 996 ruYDs and 8ruTDs. His stats definitely show if the browns had given him the ball more, he would have not only easily eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark ( if not the 1,200 mark) on the season, but he possibly could have totaled over 10 RUTDs. To me, Chubb can potentially be a top 5 RB. The one thing hindering him though is Kareem Hunt being in the picture. The good news is that at least Chubb has the first six games of the season (due to Hunt's 6-game suspension) to reek havoc on the league without the possibility of giving away carries to another potential star player.
2019 Prediction: RU yds: 1200; ruTDs: 10
