2 Guys On the UP and UP in Fantasy Football

It's week 12 in the NFL, the 2nd half of the football season has started and the regular season is nearly over.

Since the 2nd half of the season started, three guys who were duds in the beginning, but who are now on fire as of recently and who I think will stay hot as the season comes to an end include:

Bears WR Darnell Mooney

Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth

I truly feel like moving forward these players will continue to play a vital role in their teams offense and be a solid contributer to your fantasy team as starter.

For Mooney, we have seen him come into his own and become his teams go-to guy over the last few weeks.

While Freiermuth isn't the go-to guy, he has definitely been making an impact on his offense and has been quite efficient for the Steelers in the End Zone. As a receiving threat, he's been catching over 80% of his targets and averaging a 20% target share over the past 4 games. (If you want more on him read my article on him at FantasyNerds.com).

With Robinson having a nonexistent role on the bears with Justin Fields in play, the bears have finally found a guy they really like going to in Mooney. Over his last 3 games Mooney has grabbed 2 TDs, 185 yards, and 13 receptions on 30 Targets.

Obviously, Mooney needs to be better at catching the ball (below 50% catch % is no bueno), but at least he's getting targeted and making some offense happen for them.

Overall, very excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for them, but with Allen Robinson not doing anything, Mooney seems to be the WR to own especially if you are desperate.

As for Freiermuth, if you need a Tight End for the rest of the season and he's available to you, I highly reccommend starting him as he has been the Steelers only recieving juice these last few weeks. I think he could be the next heath miller for them, and if that is the case he should at the very least be a top 10 fantasy football tight end by the end of the year.
